David Renn is a self taught fine artist, sculptor and designer, from coastal south east Queensland.
His creative path has led him to many varied design and artistic projects from museums, festivals, retail exhibition, opera, theatre, TV advertising, professional puppet theatre, feature films and TV productions, educational programs, streetscape projects, and amateur theatre.
As a result of his lifelong passion for painting, he has also produced four solo painting exhibitions, and many commissions. David lives with his wife and two children, in Redland Bay, south of Brisbane.
David’s paintings could be described as optimistic, whimsical or imaginative, covering traditional landscapes and figures, through to pure fantasy. He has no wish to be trapped in any one genre or style but be free to head off on any interesting tangent that grabs his attention - each painting should be an adventure!
